Jeb Brako- Assistant Principal



Jeb Brako serves Jeffco Public Schools in the role of Assistant Director of Special Education. Currently, he oversees Jeffco Transition Services (JTS) and the School to Workforce Alliance Program (SWAP). 


He previously worked as a special education teacher serving secondary aged students in Colorado’s rural mountain schools and before that, a 4th grade teacher in Cherry Creek School District. He started his career in Maryland as a paraeducator. Jeb earned a Bachelor's in Political Science, Masters in Arts of Education, and a Master's in Educational Leadership and Special Education Administration.


In his free time, Jeb enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy, and their daughter, Sienna. 


Shelby Buck- Mountain Hub Teacher


Lindsey Chartier-Dickie- Sobesky Hub Teacher



Lindsey Chartier Dickie serves Jeffco Public Schools in the role of Special Education Transitions Teacher for the Sobesky Hub. She previously worked as a Life Skills teacher for secondary and Transitions aged students in Sacramento, and prior to that she was a Significant Support Needs 3 teacher for the center program at Peck Elementary school in Arvada. She started her career as a paraeducator and respite care provider. Lindsey earned a bachelors in Secondary Education from Arizona State and has accreditations in Social Studies, Elementary Education, Secondary Education, and Special Education.


In her free time Lindsey enjoys riding her bike, and spending time with her partner, John, and their dog, Rowdy. 


Sue Edwards- Project Search UC Health Teacher


Sue grew up on a farm in Illinois and has a bachelor's degree in Special Education from Illinois State University. She enjoys helping students discover their talents and use their abilities to have the best adult life possible. She is married and has two grown children. Her interests include exploring and enjoying Colorado and hosting friends and family for dinners and get-togethers.



Pam Engle- North Hub Teacher



Lindi Hehn- Central Community Teacher



Lindi Hehn serves Jeffco Public Schools in the role of Community Central  Special Education Teacher. She previously worked for the JTS Community program and has been a Special Education Teacher with Jeffco for 7 years. Originally from Michigan, Lindi moved to Colorado and earned her Bachelor's degree in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado and is a Licensed Special Education Generalist. In her free time, Lindi enjoys taking her dog Louie on hikes, cooking, and going out to eat.


Heather Lloyd- Central Community Hub Teacher



Dunbar Lyles- South Hub Teacher

 

 

My role at JTS South Hub is the Special Education Teacher in the Transition Hub program at Dakota Ridge High School. I oversee 4 Para Educator staff and students with significant support Needs in the JTS transition hub program based out of Dakota Ridge High School. I plan, implement, educate and conduct lessons, work sites, and community activities for my transition students. Before becoming a teacher I worked in the field of adaptive outdoor education, leading summer wilderness experiences for people with disabilities as well as an adaptive ski instructor during the winters in Colorado. 


I have a bachelor's degree in Outdoor Education and Wilderness leadership from Brevard College in Brevard, NC as well as a Master of Education in Outdoor Administration from Georgia College and State University, in Milledgeville, Ga as well as a Master of Arts in Special Education from the University of Northern Colorado. For Fun, I enjoy being outside and doing fun things with my wife Katie, and two children Rose 8, and Charlie 6.

Pete Miller- Central Hub Teacher



Pete Miller serves as a Special Education Teacher for Jeffco Transition Services (JTS).  He previously worked as a high school SSN Special Education Teacher in Cherry Creek School District. Prior to that he started his education career as an elementary Special Education Teacher in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Pete earned his Bachelor of Science in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. In his free time, Pete enjoys skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking.




Michelle Onstott- Project Search Children's Hospital Teacher


Michelle Onstott is currently teaching as a Jeffco Transition Teacher in Project SEARCH @ Children’s Hospital Colorado. She has taught 4th - 12th grades as both a regular education and special education teacher in both Colorado and Wyoming. She served as a Transition Coordinator in WY where she found a passion for transitioning 18-21 year old students and helping them achieve integrated employment. She received her Bachelor’s degree in both Elementary Education and Special Education and Master’s degree in Special Education from University of Northern Colorado.


In her free time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband, Kris, and their son and daughter, Clint and Maddie. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.



Monica Sheehy- Mental Health Provider


Monica Sheehy currently serves in the role of Mental Health Provider for JeffCo Transition Services. She has been a School Social Worker for over 20 years in a variety of settings around the United States but working with young adults with disabilities is her passion.  Monica received her Bachelor of Social Work from New Mexico State University and her Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She loves the outdoors, traveling, snuggling her dog, and spending time with her family.
